Meadowsweet is a brand new site by Melita that's just launched this Spring ( althought technically here in the UK we are now at the start of the meteorlogical Summer).
I'm putting myself out here from a place of uncertainty. One where we get sweaty palms, feel a little dizzy, worry about the comments, the vast pool of incredible writers. The AI filtering into blogs, journals and e-zines. The use of correct grammar, english language and all that's in between.
The certain age, the being seen, the reality of taking that first step. Nothing happens if we stay on the side line, the edges of being a bystander, a voyeur, a watcher from the shadows. It only lasts for so long, and time ticks, whispers call in your ear, and suddenly you are typing and writing by pen, clicking the camera and uploading the shots.
I've no big fanfare to ask you to remain or be seated. No accolades, awards or magazine inclusion. I'm just an average Mum navigating mid-life, pondering the world at large and nature outside my window, and my small patch of this earth we call home. Capturing the essence of flowers and landscapes through my Nikon, all that light, shadow and the subtle shifts that observing a season brings.
I'll be up and running here shortly, with past diaries from the Meadowsweet Garden with current essays, stories and snippets of notes on navigating not only our natural seasons but those of our lives.
Naturally I'd love it if you could subscribe as this allows you free access to stay up to date and receive emails when new content is published!
Deep breath, here we go.
